Our Mission & Vision
The OG mission is to welcome visitors to our 1842 farmstead that will be maintained as a productive food supplier for the years to come. We promote local food and the traditions of farm-made American heritage products.
120 Acres of Farm & Nature
Our farm has a long history of being a produce grower for the Milwaukee green markets. Today it grows a rotational schedule of corn, soybeans and wheat. We do maintain a small garden for seasonal produce.
The buildsite of OG was once a livestock grazing area adjacent to the barnyard feedlot.
The headwaters of the Menomonee River is part of our "Back 40". In 1990 we partnered with Washington County, the Wisconsin DNR and the Conservancy in creating water filtration ponds and strips, which have helped create new wildlife sanctuaries to our area.
